Choosing finishes that last in Qatar’s climate
22 January 2026 · Back Up Construction · 5 min read

Qatar’s climate is hard on colour, sealants and fabrics. A finish that looks right in a catalogue can fade, craze or hold dust within a season if it was specified for a milder place.
What we look for
- Stone and tile that can take thermal movement
- Fabrics with a tight weave and a realistic cleaning cycle
- Metals and coatings that do not chalk in strong sun
- Joinery details that keep dust out of edges
We specify interiors with the build, not after it, so the details that last are the ones that actually get installed.
